Special website for shareholders to buy products at a discount. You also get a coupon, but the amount you receive is random.

Requirements

Unknown. 100 shares will definitely get you access, it's possible that even 1 share might be enough?

Comment

This is not an official stock perk and will not be listed on any benefit guides or even advertised by Sharp themselves. It's just something that has happened for the past few years and seems to be doing well for them. At first it was just a very short sale period, but nowadays it lasts a few months. The coupon amount also seems to be increasing every year, but this is no guarantee that the program will expand.

You get access to a website where you can buy a variety of products, big appliances such as washing machines and refrigerators will also include setup. The pricing seems good from what I can tell, with many products being either the cheapest option, or competitive enough that you might as well buy directly from the company instead of some random Kakaku vendor. You can, however, find cheaper prices if you don't mind buying older models of the products. Amazon often sells models that are a few years old for bigger discounts, and usually the newer models aren't worth the premium unless it was a major redesign.

Chart

Poor Sharp has had a tough few decades, only surviving due to the Foxconn buyout, but they still keep on fighting. Returning to their former glory seems unlikely, but hopefully they can survive!
