AEON Mall

Company Information
AEON Mall develops, leases, operates, and manages shopping malls in Japan, China, and ASEAN countries. It operates domestic and overseas shopping malls. It is a subsidiary of Aeon.
Those giant malls that Aeon operates are a separate company within the group. Although malls seem to be declining in some countries, Aeon's malls seem to be maintaining their popularity and I see new ones open up frequently.

Comment
The gift cards will certainly be useful if you do your shopping at Aeon-related stores, although they don't scale very well past 100 yen. I personally don't find generic catalog gifts to be a great value and you're better off just buying what you want, but if you like them then the option is there. The long term holding gift cards are also much more expensive when compared to something like Aeon Hokkaido which operates a similar system. If you do want to optimize getting Aeon gift cards every year with other Aeon stocks then getting 100 shares is a reasonable addition to your portfolio. The lounge pass you can also get from investing in other Aeon companies such as Aeon and Aeon Kyushu. It's a nice bonus but it shouldn't be your motivation for investing in the stock, especially since there is no other perk for going to the 200 share level. The lounges have become much worse post-COVID with many more restrictions on usage, removing the snacks, and even limiting drinks.
