Avex Inc., an entertainment company, engages in the music, animation and video, digital, and overseas businesses in Japan. The company plans, produces, and sells musical content; publishes and distributes music; and plans, produces, and manages live concerts, special events, and stage performances. It also manages artists, talents, creators, athletes, intellectuals, and others; operates and manages fan clubs; and sells concert and event tickets. In addition, the company is involved in discovering, training, and managing of talent; and film distribution activities. Further, it plans, produces, and sells animated shows in various forms, merchandising goods, live performances, special events, games, and movies; develops and operates digital platforms and e-commerce sites; and develops and operates the use of blockchain technology.  

Avex is one of Japan's respected music labels and represents a fair number of popular artists.

Priority ticket reservations for certain live performances, events, and stages featuring artists affiliated Avex. You will be able to reserve the tickets before general sales, but fan club members will still get priority.

Historically, shareholders could also receive discount tickets to a-nation, a summer music festival which was hosted by Avex. COVID seems to have killed this event and there seems to be no plan to hold it again. If a-nation does ever come back, it's reasonable to assume that the shareholder perks related to it will return.

Avex also used to hold a small music concert after the shareholder meeting, similar to a-nation this was also a victim of COVID. They did hold a shareholder-exclusive concert in 2022 but nothing since, it is possible that these may be held again in the future.

If you are a fan of music artists signed under the Avex label and want to see their concerts or any other events they sponsor, then getting priority tickets is going to be a great perk as some popular artists can sell out pretty quickly. Note that fan club members will still get the first round of tickets, but if anything is left over then your chances of attending the event will be much higher than waiting for general sale. It's a real shame that COVID killed off a-nation and the shareholder meeting concert, but the fact that they held an exclusive concert for shareholders in 2022 gives me hope that they might keep trying with that concept.
